I am able to play it, but having a mic is essential.If anyone knows how to make the mic work on PR without the need to download BF2, please let me know. Yea its a standalone, but my mic won't work on it.

The community is growing - there are more servers popping up and more players joining too.As for the BF2 download, the guys at the forums will definitely help you to get the download if things are not going as it should.For PR, from what I know it is already a standalone mod not requiring BF2 anymore. I saw somewhere that I had to get BF2 to be able to use the mic on PR.Seems like a hassle to get a simple download as I went to some site that was offering their client (Mega), chose to download from browser instead, but when it was done, I couldn't get the download.
